I ♥ this outfit because it boosted my confidence - the dress still fit me despite my growing baby bump! *wink* I just hope I won't suddenly "expand" so I could still wear by pre-pregnancy clothes :) To quote one of my fave Glee character Kurt, "Fashion has no gender." As my belly grows, my old clothes are now slowly being carted off to temporary storage. I am restraining myself to go on a major shopping binge for maternity clothes. The practical me is always reminding me that I may not be able to wear them after I've given birth and that looser tops and dresses is the better way to go. Having limited time to mix and match outfits before going off to work is sometimes frustrating. So one day I took a risk and it turned out great. Myke has this soft knit shirt that he is still not 'confident' to wear (because his tummy is prominent on the fitted top) that I "borrowed". He he he. It was a perfect fit for me. Worn under leggings, it looked just like an oversized top on me. Add some accessory and voila! People commented that I looked really nice and was surprised when told that I am wearing a man's shirt! :P So it's nice to take risks. It may backfire but I'll just chalk it up to experience *wink* Some more outfits I wore to the office. I'm now exempted from wearing the company uniforms given my "condition" *wink* but expect more photos of me mostly in flats. Mahigpit magbantay si hubby :P L: Jacket and skirt from Landmark + pearl necklace + Melissa flats R: Tea for Two button down dress + vintage jacket + Janylin silver studded flats Here's the series of my get ups for dress down Fridays at the office :) Landmark jacket + Jockey shirt + Bess skirt AX Avenue earrings + Melissa shoes + Nine West bag M&S sleeveless blouse + Landmark jacket + Guess pants AX Avenue cocktail ring + Landmark necklace + Manel's ankle straps Next post will be my Oreo fridge cake :) Worn when I hanged out at the mall with hubby :) P.S. Pardon the messy 'do. Hubby was too busy snapping photos away to took notice. I love dresses. It very easy kasi - saves me time (and less stress) thinking about which tops go best with what bottoms. With a dress, all you have to think about is your accessory (and shoes, of course) and you're ready to go. For my next entry of Style Diary, I've collected some of my dress ensembles. I've donned these on different occassions (from L-R): friend's wedding at Calaruega, company event and our engagement session (aka prenuptial pictorial). What are your favorite dresses? :) Bright yellow ruffled blouse + black gartered belt + blue tulip skirt + nude bejeweled flats I wore this outfit when we shot our company's Customer Care AVP. And a lot of the feedback I got was that I looked cute like Snow White(?!). It's probably because of the color combination and the tulip skirt reminded some of a ball gown. So, I'm calling this my "Snow White ensemble". Ha ha ha! The bold colors will definitely make you stand out. During the shoot, N from the ad agency took notice of my skirt and she said she bought a dress that had the same skirt. That's how we found out that we bought our items from the same brand / designer. Hi hi hi! Talk about same tastes :) I was still unsure if I should start a new category for this. I am sure though that my fashion sense isn't always on the mark. But hey, dressing should always be fun (and yes, sometimes frustrating). So, I'm starting a new series of blog entries called Style Diaries. I'll post some of my get-ups for whatever occassion (should there always be reason? Hi hi hi.) and inspiration I had. I might also post some of my accessories and fab finds. If you think I look fab or drab, I'm open for suggestions and (constructive) criticisms. Just go easy on me, ok? :) I want to start this series so we could all learn from each other so don't hesitate to give tips and fashion advise :) By the way, I don't really put much effort in making myself up so bear with me if my face / hair need a fixing up and just focus on the outfits instead. He he he. First up, rust colored mini dress and bejeweled flats. May also be layered with cardigan and leggings as what I did last February 4. What do you think? :) |
